The article titled "Democrats Waging ‘Holy War’ as Trump Ends 50 Years of Affirmative Action Tyranny," published by the New York Post, discusses President Trump’s recent decision to fire two commissioners of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The New York Times referred to this action as a "late-night purge," while the New York Post claims that Democrats will launch a legal “holy war” to overturn the decision. The article frames the firings as a response to what it describes as over 50 years of the EEOC imposing quotas on American businesses, schools, and institutions. However, instead of providing substantive evidence, the article primarily highlights quotes from individuals who have opposed the EEOC for decades. It also discusses DEI initiatives and references a legal dispute involving female-only health clubs that allegedly had their civil rights violated by the EEOC—though these complaints date back to the 1990s. Notably, the article never provides any evidence of Democratic politicians actively waging a legal fight against Trump’s decision, nor does it substantiate its claim that the EEOC acted dishonestly. Instead, the piece relies on a hyperbolic and abrasive headline that lacks factual support, seemingly designed for clickbait and engagement rather than objective reporting. More

I had gotten quite a few ads from daily mail which place blame on the Black Hawk pilot crash onto a transgender service woman, even though the first sentence of the article says that this woman was "wrongly named." An intentional play on provoking the viewer and feeding into the recent DEI attack trend amongst conservatives. More

The article claims that "During the Biden and Obama administrations, the FAA hired people with intellectual and psychiatric disabilities for a wide range of positions and prioritized race-based assessments for screening applicants." This statement reinforces the belief that DEI practices have prioritized identity over capability and wrongly shifts the attention from discovering actually went wrong in the plane crash to parrot party beliefs on affirmative action and diversity in the workplace. The article fails to acknowledge that the hiring practices for the FAA to increase opportunities for Americans with disabilities began during the Trump administration in 2020 and the hiring practices for the FAA during Biden's administration has not changed since then. This is most troubling because it dismisses the merit of the millions of people with disabilities who are able to do their jobs exceedingly well and encourages discrimination against them in the workplace. The article discusses potential policies from Trump to export criminals elsewhere and bring back the death penalty to address crime. The article does not stress that these solutions are based on Trump's personal beliefs and there is no supportive evidence that these policy changes will decrease the national crime rates. For example Trump sites Venezuela's export of criminals in the decrease of their crime rates however, there are no official records from the country to verify that data. Trump also says that the death penalty will serve as a deterrent however there has yet to be any supporting research that can prove that the death penalty deters criminal behavior and a social scale apart from the obvious individual deterrent because the offender is prevented from doing any other crimes in the future through a death penalty. The article's claims about a secret romantic relationship between Jennifer Aniston and Barack Obama, as well as speculation about the Obamas’ marriage, are unsupported by credible evidence. The rumors are based solely on an alleged "leaked message" from an unnamed friend of Aniston, making the information unverifiable and reliant on hearsay. Furthermore, Aniston’s representatives have explicitly denied the claims, which should cast serious doubt on their validity. The article also attempts to support the rumor by linking Michelle Obama’s absence from certain public events, such as the funeral of Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump’s inauguration, to alleged marital discord. However, these absences are not unusual or indicative of any relationship issues and fail to provide a logical connection to the claim. Both Barack and Michelle Obama’s representatives have denied any problems in their marriage, and no credible sources substantiate the accusations. More
