In general, I prefer to support wildlife habitats and the long-term goals and populations they serve. Unless there is a pressing human need (which would need a measurable definition), I think the habitat should be protected, but if the pressing need can be proven, then economic development can be given priority.  Less

There are many reasons why stemming from the fact that these are innocent animals in the wild who should be protected. Also, keeping these animals protected promotes long-term environmental stability and biodiversity which is essential for human survival and well being.  Less

In a way, I view preserving these habitats as an economic benefit within itself through things like ecotourism (which relies on a healthy environment).  Less

Yes, of course. It should be very important to protect wildlife and nature, even if it means preventing large corporations or wealthy individuals from implementing extremely exploitative tactics.

Preserving these ecosystems must be a top priority, particularly in the fight against climate change. While there may be short-term financial losses, safeguarding natural habitats ultimately leads to long-term benefits, both environmental and economic. Once these ecosystems are destroyed, we lose invaluable biodiversity and natural resources that cannot be replaced.  Less

The Earth is for all of us, especially wildlife. Not everything should be an economic opportunity. Just let it be home a for wildlife.

Often, there is a solution to preserve these habitats, whether that involves relocating infrastructure or the habitat itself. Even if such a solution may be more expensive, I believe it is the responsible action.  Less
