However, if renewable energy can be made widely accessible and lower its cost, then yes, I support a worldwide initiative to decrease non renewable energy reliance. Read Less

If there’s not already a strong reliance on NR resources, the return on investment for shifting to rewewable energy is going to be much higher for those countries than doubling down. I think that is where the “worldwide initiative” part would have to come into play, though, since outset costs may be above some underdeveloped states’ capacities. Read Less

Moving away from things like fossil fuel requires really big investments in new infrastructure for renewable energy. There are also still communities who rely on fossil fuels, so I feel like this global initiative/transition would need to consider all of the possible impacts. Read Less

I think increasing renewable use is a good goal, but like other commenters, I agree that the logistics would get tricky and costly

Being a long-term goal to decrease reliance on non-renewable energy is great, but there are a lot of factors that play in to how this process would play out. Read Less

This is especially true given the rise of artificial intelligence. A new agreement with enforceable repercussions could significantly aid this objective. Read Less

I think in the future this would be great once everyone is on board and we figure out the costs because it is very costly. Read Less
