What’s ethical or not is a subjective assessment that varies from person to person, and I don’t think it’s a good idea to force a consensus definition that the entertainment industry must abide by. And just speaking from my own perspective, I think shows and movies that lean into moral ambiguity/unethical individuals are more interesting of a watch than perfectly moral characters.Read Less

I am not fully certain whether ‘content creation’ refers only to the production process or also to the content itself, but in either case, entertainment production is a kind of service that must operate within ethical boundaries. For example, there are laws against discrimination and against the exploitation of workers, and I think entertainment production should also be required to follow the same kinds of guidelines.Read Less
