Why Troubling News:

Even for an opinion piece, this article is extremely biased and vitriolic. This account of the supposed "Democrat-lawfare complex" and its attempt to "push (their) senile octogenarian across the finish line" by "conjuring up... four criminal prosecutions" is filled with a rather heated conservative bias. The article comes out swinging immediately by painting President Biden as someone "whose command of the English language rivals that of most kindergarteners" claims, unverifiably, that "cynicism and a sense of malaise are ubiquitous" in the United States, and provides absolutely no sourcing or links to the quotes it draws from. I understand that RealClearPolitics is only a news aggregator, but this piece is an offensively biased article that goes beyond mere personal opinion into something that would certainly do no favors for balanced public discourse.

Why Troubling News:

This seems a bit liberal-leaning, which may influence how people interpret the information that is being stated in the article, as they use common liberal terms

Why Troubling News:

This entire article is filled with a conservative bias. It claims that the US has lost the war on drugs and that the 12- step program to fight addiction is not effective enough. While it is true that the number of cases of overdose are increasing, there is no proof given in this article to show that the 12 step program does not work. I think this article is extremely dangerous and baseless and might lead to spread of misinformation.

Why Troubling News:

This article is troubling to me given the author's explicit conservative bias. When talking about Peru's new classification of transgender people as "mentally ill," the author only provides sources that agree with the decision and calls for the same to happen to the United States. Peru's policy is incredibly culturally recidivist and it's sad to see an author so blatantly support it without evidence.

Why Troubling News:

Overall, the piece was stated to be an opinion piece, meaning it is rife with bias and misinformation and misleading information. A statement about Trump said that he refused some debates at one time "hoping to make them seem beneath him" which is just conjecture and an assumption about Trump's intentions. Another assumption made is that Biden is "feeling more pressure to perform" as that is again something that cannot be known unless Biden says so directly about himself. Also, throughout the article, there were no outside sources or other supporting evidence, meaning it likely does not capture the entire picture.

Why Troubling News:

The entirety of the article is false and is based on false premises. While it is true that France is reportedly mulling sending troops into Ukraine to support their ongoing fight against Russia, such action has not yet occurred in any capacity. The French Foreign Ministry took to the social media platform 'X' to highlight the claim as disinformation, yet the news source in the link clearly has not taken the time to fact check themselves and did not bother deleting the article. The misinformation stems from a blog post by a former deputy undersecretary for the DoD.

Why Troubling News:

It claims that Trump and his supporter violently attempted to overturn the 2020 election results, clear liberal bias. It only paints Trump negatively while painting Biden positively.

Why Troubling News:

This article is extremely biased to a concerning amount. It has a clear conservative bias (which is easy to tell given the source) that is taken to extreme measures. In the title, placing the word "hateful" in between air quotes emphasizes how the author does not believe the man is being actually hateful. Additionally, by referring to the character as a "gay sister" is very telling; she cannot be just his sister, but must be followed by the adjective "gay."
