I do, however, think its necessary to properly ensure quality controls and make author publication fees less expensive to make open access research more sustainable.Read Less
Information and knowledge should always be accessible. Gatekeeping research creates a disparity and knowledge gap that can be exploited for political, financial, or moral gain.
Absolutely. Research exists to fulfill unanswered questions, and I don’t see the purpose of gatekeeping this information when it could be used to give individuals more knowledge.
