I think AI has the potential to become smarter than humans but I do not see this as an imminent threat.

They can make rapid decisions, especially when targets shift abruptly, demonstrating a level of practical intelligence.

However, what they fundamentally lack is the human element…emotions, intuition, and the depth of consciousness. A machine cannot fully understand or feel the context behind the information it processes.

Consider the wisdom of Confucius, who described three paths to human understanding: “First, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third, by experience, which is the bitterest.” AI may be able to imitate, and perhaps even simulate experience in some form, but it cannot reflect, not in the way humans do. Reflection is a uniquely human ability, one that no animal or machine can replicate, as it stems from our inner consciousness.
NOTE: Look into the American philosopher, John Searle, who makes a good argument on why AI won’t surpass us. Read Less
