However, I honestly don’t know the full list of cons, though I’m sure there are some. Just look at electric cars: they sound great, but they’re not as environmentally friendly as we think. Plus, the costs, whether it’s for an electric car or an eco-friendly home, are often tailored to the upper-middle class and beyond. So, in reality, this kind of eco-conscious living is evidently geared more toward the well-off. This sort of eco-friendly building operation should first be set in motion for public infrastructure, like hospitals, schools, etc. Read Less

I think “all” is too broad and will prevent smaller companies or even individuals from creating new buildings due to the high initial cost of energy efficient technology. But I do think bigger buildings or corporations should be required to be energy efficient and environmental friendly. Not only is it good for the environment and the flight against climate change but will it save the company money in the long run. Read Less

However we also have a massive housing crisis, and building as many buildings as possible is crucial for that. Non energy efficient buildings are still nowhere near the biggest environmental problems we face. So I’d say maybe, in that it’s good to do so, but there are circumstances where non environmental friendly buildings are fine. Read Less
