I think that most developed or first world countries should have these standards as they have the resources and support needed to keep up with the infrastructure, and they should also lead the way for other countries to do the same. But I think that developing countries don’t really have the need to bring up this type of infrastructure as they probably have other more pressing issues that they should be focusing on instead. Read Less

While I don’t think a uniform standard is absolutely needed nor easily enforceable–since every country has different infrastructure situations–I do think it’s possible for more developed countries with similar infrastructure capacities to enact similar/uniform policy. While not necessary, having similar policy across nations with comparable levels of development could help streamline manufacturing, improve compatibility, and reduce barriers for people who utilize electric vehicles to travel across different countries. Read Less
