The government should regulate this, because we’re basically paying for broadcast television for streaming services. The same goes for Prime. These companies started out as a good thing, but now they’ve adopted the same model as terrestrial television, cramming viewers with ads. I think it’s unfair.Read Less

However, any level of censorship has to be closely monitored to avoid the instance being used as a precedent for censorship that supports bias and suppresses ideas. It seems like it would be less problematic for the streaming services to set standards for themselves, although not all will do that without a government-provided incentive. If the regulations are clearly stated and transparently executed, then government regulation–while not strictly necessary–may be highly beneficial.Read Less

I think this because many kids nowadays have access to streaming services and I believe there should be some sort of regulation to children where they are only able to watch G rated videos, shows, or movies. Also, I agree with DeterminedDolphin8 in regards to the rising costs of streaming services. It is crazy how many companies used to charge $6 for a membership and now prices have risen astronomically and we have to watch with ads as well.Read Less

I agree with DeterminedDolphin8, the FCC has the power to regulate “all in” pricing for cable networks and should be able to for streaming as well.

Very basic regulations like no illegal things, but other than that it should be up to the streaming services themselves imo.
yeah they should have age ratings and nothing illegal but not much more
