   I'm not as well-versed in matters of economic relations, but I would assume the government needs to regulate the gig economy to protect workers. Anything that lacks some form of regulation is subject... moreI'm not as well-versed in matters of economic relations, but I would assume the government needs to regulate the gig economy to protect workers. Anything that lacks some form of regulation is subject to corruption, even if it appears to be originally smooth functioning. Regulations allow for proper treatment of employees, fair pay, healthy conditions, and appropriate hours.  Less
