Nowadays, it is a requirement to be technologically advanced to prosper in society and when countries cannot afford to provide that necessity, their citizens are falling behind and will not be able to experience the same economic and cultural development that technology affords the citizens of other countries that are technologically advances.Read Less

However, it would raise the question of equity or equality. Are we giving all countries the same amount of resources to advance technology, or are we going to build up the less developed countries (which requires more funding) to the point of the most advanced countries (who may need/receive less funding)? It also raises the question of how to make this technology. Are we funding research as well? What about the natural resources countries would need in order to create new technology; are we opening more trade between countries? Can their current society handle/access new technology yet? All of this to say, it would be a good effort if it was intentional and thought out.Read Less
