There are certainly some benefits that can come from a unified education platform for remote learning. It would provide access to high-quality educational resources, facilitate cross-cultural collaboration, and help address skill gaps. However, some setbacks to countries collaborating on an education system for remote learning are related to cultural, political, and technical differences and complexities that vary from state to state. Read Less

Education should not be provided in a unified format because each country has a distinct history that shapes its culture and priorities. As a result, educational systems differ in what they emphasize. For instance, countries with greater racial diversity may stress ethical understanding or incorporate diversity variables in their analyses, while more homogeneous societies may not consider such factors as central. Moreover, not all nations operate under democratic regimes; many function under authoritarian or hybrid systems where the qualities valued for success differ greatly from those in democracies. Therefore, although an international academic platform could offer limited benefits through collaboration and information sharing, the fundamental design of education should remain nationally determined to reflect local realities and values. Read Less

I feel this way because a single, unified platform will most likely not be able to effectively accommodate each country’s’ specific needs (i.e. education standards/curriculum, languages, values, and technological capabilities). When trying to combine so many countries’ needs together it will lead to unequal access or biased content towards a few countries as one unified platform will not be able to account for everything and everyone’s needs–leading to cuts based on what the designers of the platform are going for. Also, the challenge of managing the security and data privacy of a system like this is, on its own, enough of a reason to not try to implement a system like this in the first place. Read Less
