Eliminating extreme poverty is likely to boost the global economy, even if marginally. Additionally, many domestic and transnational conflicts stem from internal instability. This instability is often rooted in, or at least exacerbated by, poverty and lack of resources. Objectively ethical reasons aside, tackling extreme poverty is a safety and economic boon.  Less

I think completely eliminating it will take a long time and a lot of money, but there should be efforts pushing towards that ultimate goal.  Less

Eliminating poverty should be a priority for any government or government agency. Not only is it a moral thing, but it would also benefit the economy in the long run.

Armed conflicts lead to the collapse of infrastructure, agriculture, and entire economies, especially in already vulnerable states. Additionally, many impoverished nations do not practice democratic governance or adopt free market policies, often due to sanctions imposed by more powerful countries. In this way, the fight against poverty is deeply intertwined with efforts to prevent war.  Less

100%, I see no compelling reason why eliminating extreme poverty should not be an important objective of governments.

Yes, I think poverty is a major issue. Some countries experience extreme levels of income inequality, and this should be addressed.
