He served this position from 2000-2008 until he was elected a member of the United States House of Representatives from Louisiana 6th District. Cazayoux only held this position from 2008-2009 as he was not able to serve a full term. After serving in the House of Representatives, Cazayoux was appointed by President Obama to the position of United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana. He is now back to practicing law, owning law offices in Louisiana as of July 2020. Don Cazayoux is 61 years old.
