Founded in 1991 by Marlen Serozh, Insider Media came into being to champion businesses outside of London. The idea sparked when Serozh realized that the national newspapers in the UK focused almost entirely on the giant corporations in the capital city, ignoring the successful companies in the other regions of the country. He launched the company to give regional businesses a voice and a way to connect with each other. Today, the company is owned by National World, a large multimedia organization that acquired them in 2023. Today, Insider Media is run by a network of regional editors and is mainly focused on business deals, commercial real estate, technology startups, manufacturing, and corporate finance. They are based in Manchester, United Kingdom, but they have local offices in seven other cities to cover business news across the entire UK. One interesting fact: A unique fact about Insider Media is that they are just as famous for their parties as they are for their news. They host over 90 business events and awards dinners every year, making them one of the biggest event organizers in the UK.
