BG Mahesh founded Oneindia in January 2006 to fill what he saw as a gap in Indian language content online, building a multilingual portal group under Greynium Information Technologies out of Bangalore. myKhel is the sports arm of that operation, publishing in seven languages including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Bengali, with separate subdomains for each. The parent group runs Oneindia alongside Filmibeat, Boldsky, Drivespark, Gizbot, Goodreturns, Nativeplanet, Careerindia, click.in and 60secondsnow, publishing in nine languages across eleven categories and producing around a thousand articles a day. Greynium is part of the Dailyhunt Group. Sriram Hebbar is chief executive of Greynium and BG Mahesh is managing director. The myKhel domain was registered in July 2017 and runs to 2029. Today, myKhel is mainly focused on cricket including the IPL, football and the English Premier League, tennis, badminton, hockey, kabaddi, motorsport and WWE, with live scores, results, schedules, points tables and match updates, from their base in Bangalore, India. One interesting fact: Its Tamil edition is bigger than the site it belongs to. The Tamil subdomain has accounted for roughly a third of total traffic, and the audience that visits it also visits the group's Tamil news, film and personal finance portals.
MyKhel is ranked 122 among other media sources and has an average of 6,600,000 monthly visits according to
