He launched the paper as the very first newspaper printed directly in the town to give the community a voice. Today, the publication is owned by Newsquest, one of the largest regional media companies in the United Kingdom. Today, the Rhyl Journal is run by a team of local reporters and is mainly focused on community news, local court cases, town council decisions, and grassroots sports like rugby and football.
