The article title is misleading. The judge halted the firing of federal employees because the assistant attorney general wasn't prepared, and the judge thought the firings were unconstitutional. The reporter makes digs at her being emotional when she is just asking questions and giving her opinion. Additionally, some of the sources used are just other conservative news sources, calling her emotional.

Personal feelings should be, and primarily are, pushed aside when it comes to a court of law. Judges know this, and a district court judge like Susan Illston absolutely knows this. A click-bate title like this can do so much damage because it undermines public trust in the judicial system and spreads false ideas that judges are now making rulings based on emotion rather than law. While nobody is perfect, and some judges may make calls with reasoning like this, this is abnormal and a small minority of judicial officials–not most. Misleading headlines like this only fuel unnecessary political division and distort how people view and trust legitimate court decisions based on stare decisis and our Constitution. Read Less

I also agree with your post, the judge’s comments were emotional and that is not appropriate for a courtroom.
I agree with this post. Its headline is more sensitive targeting a certain group that would engage in clicks.
