Unless it's absolutely necessary and concerns the best interests of the country, the only thing that gossip journalism does is spread rumors and create false and misinformed expectations about a person. It goes against everything journalism, in my opinion, stands for, as it becomes used, not as a tool to inform the public and create a better understanding of a subject matter, but as school gossip.  Less
