There Is No Inflation In Trump’s America: Consumer Prices Barely Rise For Fourth Straight Month
Well, the headline speaks for itself. There is no inflation… except there is a little bit. The first line of the article contradicts itself yet again: "U.S consumer prices barely rose at all in May, the fourth straight month of mild inflation.” The article explains that inflation did, in fact, increase by .1%. While this was lower than other leftist sources projected it to be, it is still inflation. The article goes on to say that Trump’s presidency has been marked by “low inflation,” notably, not no inflation. I expected this journalist to justify the headline by noting that the inflation is from Biden’s America (not Trump’s)… but they did not even take that route (and it was right there). Breitbart, call me. I think these contradictions paired with the headline (not to mention, the title itself) is blatantly misinformative.

They do leave themselves an out by qualifying that it “barely rise[s]” in the subtitle (not just in the article itself) — the part that will likely be hidden by any display that a scrolling reader would see. Technically, they have said the truth in the headline, but not in the part that people are going to see. In the visible part, they have been clearly misleading, although it does seem that they are slightly exagerating to make a point that they do try to support in the text of the article. Read Less
Complete agree with your analysis. The title is especially misleading and contradictory.
