This article is spreading hysteria and misinformation about the fact that a lot of cassava-based snacks were found to have lead. It claims the exposure to lead can create autism, and while lead and autism are linked, there isn't enough research in this area to make this bold of a claim. In addition, only one sentence is devoted to the arsenic found in some of the products, which it explains can cause cancer. However, the article failed to report that Consumer Reports stated the amount of arsenic found were far below their levels of concern for it.
