Why Minnesota child care fraud is MAGA’s new obsession
If any topic in recent media headlines could bring Americans together, you might think that the fraud scandal in Minnesota could be a contender, given that all US taxpayers were robbed in this scandal. But, MSNBC, now MS NOW, has proven that any issue can be spun away from focusing on its victims, the American working-class taxpayers in this case, and shifted towards a partisan attack on their opponents. This article assumes a complete understanding of Donald Trump's mindset without any room for uncertainty, labeling his discontent with the open fraud case as uniquely racist. Without delving into the specific details of the case, the author makes the unsubstantiated claim that Republicans only care about this fraud case because it allows them to be xenophobic, racist, and against welfare programs all at the same time. This is truly a tragic article; more than a hundred million dollars of American taxpayer funds were stolen, and this author is still trying to score points for their party's side, using limited citations while attacking the GOP. This article is troubling because it promotes the idea that fraud is widespread and constantly occurring in America, meaning this case deserves less of America's focus. This article is troubling because it proves that even when all Americans are stolen from, regardless of party affiliation, race, or socioeconomic class, our media outlets will still attempt to pit us against one another instead of uniting us under a common thread.
