It was seen that countries in more negative economic circumstances often had a tougher time executing policies to mitigate the illness, which in turn led to worse outcomes globally. The ability to offer additional relief to those countries is important, should an outbreak like this occur again. Read Less

On top of seeing thousands dead, the COVID pandemic also saw widespread politicization and polarization of something that properly shouldn’t have been a matter of opinion to begin with.
