   I think it is important for every individual to learn one additional language, not only does learning a new language develop a new skill in our brains, it also makes us more culturally more aware.

That said, learning a new language is very difficult and time consuming so it is not always feasible for... moreI believe that learning an additional language can be hugely beneficial for a lot of people. That said, learning a new language is very difficult and time consuming so it is not always feasible for everyone. Additionally, many people never really need to know a language outside of their native tongue. It is advantageous to know multiple languages, but sometimes the barriers for learning make it not as worth it.  Less

However, I can understand that it might be difficult to force people to learn languages if they aren't interested or motivated. Additionally, not everyone has access to the same quality of education and the resources to fully embrace their learning. In short, it would be amazing if everyone could know multiple languages, but it may not be practical.  Less
