    I think it is important for every individual to learn one additional language, not only does learning a new language develop a new skill in our brains, it also makes us more culturally more aware.

Additionally, many people never really need to know a language outside of their native tongue. It is advantageous to know multiple languages, but sometimes the barriers for learning make it not as worth it. Read Less
