It is imperative that those countries who have the most help others who were maybe not so fortunate. This is especially becoming more true as the world becomes more globalized. We are becoming more connected than every before thanks to new technologies and innovative breakthroughs. Many of the problems in our world could potentially be solved if nations were willing to work together and help the less developed countries. Imagine if we could help nations in Africa and South America set up robust health care systems, tackle crime rates, and respond to the effects of climate change. This would go a long way in making the world a safer, wealthier, and better place to live. Countries that are more developed have the ability to help less developed countries, so they should utilize this ability rather than letting it go to waste. I do not believe that there is any justification for a developed country to ignore the crisis of a less developed country if they can help, unless the developed country fears being harmed itself. Read Less

Help doesn’t always mean directly sending money, but can also mean sending resources. However, we shouldn’t be taking away from funds that were intentioned to help the impoverished people of the developed country. Read Less

Spain is in Latin America. The United Kingdom has underdeveloped countries on virtually every continent. These countries have become powerful because of the resources and labor they used during colonization. These countries are still benefiting from the economic structures left over in post-colonial countries after colonization. If the goal is to get the underdeveloped world out of a state of dependency so that they can be self-sufficient and end large amounts of human suffering while contributing to tackling global issues such as climate change, these developed countries have an obligation to correct their mistakes Read Less
