Increasing renewable energy subsidies reduces the use of fossil fuels, respects the environment (reduces global warming), and is overall more beneficial for the public’s health. As the name suggests, this type of energy (wind, solar, hydro, etc.) also does not deplete the way other energy sources do. This also creates energy independence and a degree of economic freedom for the United States if it no longer needs to depend on other nations for energy resources. The benefits are worth the initial cost and footprint of establishing renewable energy facilities. Read Less

These subsidies would help both citizens and corporations be more easily able to switch from using fossil fuels to cleaner energy. The truth is that many forms of green energy are still more expensive than traditional forms of energy. While prices have gone down a great amount in recent years, many Americans are still unwilling and unable to buy solar panels or other clean energy solutions. Subsidies would help to bring down the cost significantly and make combatting climate change more easy. Read Less
