However, due to cultural and societal differences across countries and regions, this would be difficult. Things such as child marriage are common and accepted across many cultures around the world for monetary, social, or other reasons. In some cultures, women are viewed as property to be bargained for, and in some cultures women still do not have equal or equivalent rights to their male counterparts under law. So yes, we should intentionally make an effort worldwide to protect children, but we also have to work within the constraints of other cultures in order to get more people to agree with the global effort.Read Less
