Innocent man accused in the face of shooting
Why Troubling News:
A recent mass shooting took place in Twin Falls, Idaho at a fast food restaurant. Almost immediately after the shooting began, misinformation was spread regarding the suspect's status and identity. One man was falsely identified as the shooter on X and Facebook, which caused him and his family distress. Misinformation and mass shootings are becomingly disturbingly more entwined.
