This is an issue because it takes a statistic, and completely warps it to mean something completely different, lying to the people of North Carolina. This claim comes from a republican senate candidate, who desperately needs to win a seat in order for the republicans to maintain control. This news is troubling because it is yet another instance of politicians practically lying to people in order to garner support, and it is wrong.
