Who would be in charge of printing the money, who is in charge of interest rates, and many more regulatory matters. In our time now if one country has economic issues it can cause ripple effects throughout many countries with one currency that could be tenfold as each country is dependent on the currency. Also, with one currency that could cause more international government intervention as countries grapple with the new currency, fighting over who is in charge, and trying to bolster economies. Read Less

Maybe in a few centuries when a pan-humanist movement comes about and the support for a world government grows, than perhaps. But for now, implementing such a proposal would simply cause conflict. Instead, the United Nations and other international organizations need to be strengthened so bad actors can be brought in line by the international community. Read Less

International trade and the global economy will definitely be negatively impacted. Thus, a global currency would probably be impossible. Read Less
