    I think this is important, especially since we have seen a rise in poor air quality due to a variety of factors. Last summer was especially bad with the smog from the wild fires.

    I think it is necessary in order to protect public health especially in nations that are at an economic disadvantage and are facing the consequences of global emissions.

    Yes, there are global consequences when a single country pollutes the air. Unless that country can somehow contain that contaminated air within its borders, there should be some form of consequence.
