    “Vital” is perhaps a little too intense of a term to use, but I think efforts to educate about sustainability would be welcome- it’s good general knowledge to have in any case.

That said, sustainable living should be introduced to kids, but without pushing a certain way of living on young people who are very impressionable and often need more time to figure out just what works best for them. Encouraging sustainable living and environmental conservation are important and should play some part of school curriculum, but vital might not be the best term. Read Less

    I think this is important for younger children to learn so they are more educated and aware as they become older and directly face the impacts of the enviornment.

    Yes, schools should be teaching students how to be model citizens, and this includes living sustainably and implementing environmental conservation efforts in their daily lives.

    As someone stated before, vital may be a bit strong. This definitely sounds like a good idea, it will just need be judged on what is specifically being taught to students in this curriculum.
