Learning history and cultures helps for people to know of things that they would not normally encounter or learn in their daily lives. Educating on these topics helps them to learn unknowns and destigmatize cultures, religions, and history of different countries and people. History is important to learn so that terrible things that happen do not repeat themselves. This education will help people later on when reading or listening to news about different places around the world as they have a basic understanding about history and cultures. This could also help foster a desire to learn about history and cultures. Read Less
