If people are overworked, they lose sleep, forget to eat or drink, and are forced to neglect their relationships with others. Also, these effects on people’s health can actually worsen their work performance, since they will have difficulty concentrating, and be very exhausted. Read Less

In many countries, but especially in the US, corporations frequently expect their employees to work unrealistic and unfair hours. They place a significant amount of pressure on individuals to work long hours with little paid time off. I have always said that in modern-day America you live to work. We need to be more like Europe where we are rewarded generously for our work with paid time off and encouraged vacation time. We should be working to support our ability to live a happy and fun life. It is imperative that our lives are more than just working 40 or more hours a week. Read Less
