Diseases and outbreaks have the capability to affect everyone, and are not deterred by state lines or political debates. As a unified international community, we have a greater ability to combat a threat that has harmful impacts in most areas of life. If we cling to a theory of isolationism during pandemics, we are likely only hurting our own respective citizens. The international community needs to be aware of where the outbreak is coming from, who is most at risk, and needs to work together to create appropriate methods of prevention. If even a few major players are not working towards these common goals, everyone will suffer. Read Less
