It would be helpful to have clear guidelines and consistency, but would be difficult to maintain accountability and to account for differences in global politics and cultures.

It is a good idea for there to be measures regarding privacy right protection on an international scale. However, it would be hard doing that since the digital world is growing at a crazy scale.

Since the beginning of the 21st century, the world has witnessed a massive technological growth that has become incorporated in our everyday lives. As such, so has new crimes that take place on our own laptops, such as identity theft, heightened piracy, and illegal hacking, which has started to cause significant damage to peoples’ financial and personal lives. As such, there needs to be more effort to protect people from these sort of crimes that have proven to be able to ruin lives. Of course, there is a lot of grey area in trying to address an issue like this, but it’s better to try and address these setbacks rather than ignore the problem so we can avoid them. So while I don’t think it’ll be easy, I absolutely believe it’s necessary for the protection of digital privacy rights to be addressed in International Agreements. Read Less
