The best example of this is what is currently happening in Europe. For decades, Europe has relied on Russian oil and gas to support their economies and people. After Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine, the continent caught off natural resources coming from the aggressor. This caused significant harm to many Western nations. Their economies began to struggle and many Europeans experienced significantly higher energy bills. It doesn’t help that many of the world’s most oil rich nations tend to be the least democratic. Only the US has America’s best interest at heart. This means that to avoid the instability and volatility of global politics and economics, we must become energy independent. Read Less
